Tuesdays Challange

Over at Try it on Tuesday this week is "Anything goes". So after a very frustrating week last week I finally have my quick ship boxes and part of my craft supplies. Although most of my spray inks seem to have disappeared. I would think that they would have to tell you if they take something out of your shipment in customs but i guess not. I am a bit annoyed over that. Not sure what else is missing thought until I can get time to sit and think about what was in the boxes. The rest of the big container will not arrive until the end of August so this is it for my supplies till then. At least I was able to complete my TIOT DT piece this week. I decided to make a mask and this was my inspiration...
A beautiful rainbow in the middle of today's thunder storm. If you look really close you can see the second one beginning to form. they only lasted a moment though before the clouds rolled back in.
For my mask I began with a paper mache mask from the art shop and sprayed it with Dylusions spray inks(Art from the Heart). I then added some Dylusions acrylic paint on top by scraping it along. Next I stamped some images using Across the Miles stamps from The stamp Man onto napkins. I also cut of various images from paper napkins in my stash. They we all decoupaged onto the mask and the trim(a lovely birthday gift from Michelle and Janet) was added at the bottom. Finally the ribbons were added at the sides.
Hope is inspires you as the rainbow did me. Now if you hop on over to the Try it on Tuesday challenge blog you can see some more wonderfully inspiring work from my team mates. then you can go off and show us once of your creations by linking it up there. We cannot wait to see what you create for our challenge this time.
Happy crafting and have a wonderful day. Angela

I have a real thing about masks and make up loads but have always been stumped by this design. Not you with the inspiration of the rainbow you have created a wonderful piece of home decor your mask is gorgeous.

Shocking that product can be removed from your boxes like that what on earth do they think those little bottles of spray are? Soon you will be completely organised and rollin' on. XOXO Zoe

WOW what a simply stunning mask Angela.

I totally agree, they should not just be able to remove your belongings without at least having the decency to first let you know!!!

Fantastic mask Angela but such a shame the inks went walkabout. Hope you've settled back home OK. xx

Great mask Angela, I don't know how you managed to stamp onto the undulating surface but it looks fab. Glad to hear some of your stuff has arrived and I hope you are able to replace the stuff which has gone missing. :-) xx

Hi Angela
Love this amazing mask and I see you have been making some gorgeous things while I was away on holiday.
I hope you are well and settling in ok now. I can't understand what cutoms would want with your spray inks though - so strange.
Take care.

Love your mask. The colours are so vibrant. I have 3 hanging on my wall which I purchased in Italy some years ago. Keep meaning to have a go at making one myself. Hugs Mrs A.
