There is a new ATC challenge blog called ATC Challenges . The first challenge IS "Anything goes" So as long as it is an ATC it is good. This made it hard as there is so much to choose from . We had these beautiful butterfly napkins so I decided to work with a Grey scale card background and add the coloured butterfly. I originally wanted to use another more colourful butterfly but it was too big so I went with the red one.
I inked the background of a white card with black soot on the edges. Then I used Aspects of Design Butterfly stamp set from the Stamp Man and Black Archival ink coloured with Grey toned Pro markers. The flowers are done using Tim Holtz stamps and the same ink. The red butterfly is cut from a napkin in my Napkin collage kit and then collaged on. The Butterfly Pavilion stamp is coloured in using red Promarker, Crackle and layered on red stripey ribbon. The edging around the card is done using a white pen. I do like the contrast with the grays and red and the way the edging came out.
I am now off to do some more blog reading.
Thanks for stopping in and have a wonderful day. Angela
