Tis the Season right! Well I have finally begun to get a little creativity spark playing along withTim holtz's 12 Tags. It has really been fun looking forward to what the next tag would bring then putting my own spin on it. Although with the holidays I am a bit behind. there has been alot going on at Belles School and decorating the house with what little decorations we managed to ship here with us. Here are the pics of the tags I have done so far. Still a few more to complete.

Well it has been quite awhile since my last post. In that time we have traveled back to the states for Belle to Dance with her Dance team from Tuckerton in Walt Disney World. This was planned way before the move to england was even known about so we could not cancel it on her.
She practiced so hard and was really looking forward to it. They did great! The girls were so happy to be there and it showed. Since returning to England Sunflower has arrived to join the family once again. It is so good to have her here. We missed her so much but now there is much re-training to to to get her to walk nicely again. Now a good part of my mornings are spent taking long walks with her. I am also starting to get more time back for crafting and with the holidays right around the corner it is not a bit too late. Tomorrow Belle and myself head out to a miniature show in York. lots of ideas are swimming in my head and I cannot wait to get started. I am also very excited to see Tims tags next week. I am looking forward to the extra creative push. more later.

So many things to do and so little time. Next week we head back home just in time for Belle to Dance in Walt Disney World. Much time lately is spent with school and paperwork. I have managed to complete a new paper piecing for someone adn am working on some others. Belle and I also spent Oct 4 at a Miniature show. That was alot of fun but very overwhelming. We are currently working on a witches house for halloween along with a few other projects. I will post when they are abit more complete. well thats all for now. lots more to ge done tonight.

Art from the Heart in Harrogate
This was a great store we found somewhat close to us in Harrogate. It took about 45 min to 1 hour to get there but at least I know there is somewhere I can go to get some of my favorite brands. they are hidden in this warehouse up a few flights of stairs and through some doors then down the hallway. We were not even sure we were allowed through there but we wentin anyway and there hidden behinds those doors was a rather large shop packed ful of ons of great ideas, stamping stuff, Scrapbook papers, tools, accessories and so much more. I will definately be taking a trip back.
ATC fun
Ok I have managed to spend a little time crafting although any time spent is shared with my now 7 year old who shadows my every move but I stil love it. Here are 2 ATC cards me and my little one created(although she mostly worked on cards). I really like the flowersoft and decided my challenge for that night would be to use it on some ATC cards. the Beatrix potter was done with some old Stampin Up stamps, Smooch inks, spring flowersoft and some fun Beatrix potter stuff that came free with one of the magazines I bought. the Beautiful was done with a flowering branch stamp Pat had given me back in the states as a gift, some copper smooch, Stampin up stamps for the border background, Tim Hotz new rock candy cracle paint, walnut distress ink and some red flowersoft. Iwas itching to try the Rock candy I got from a store in Harrogate called Art from the heart.

Desperate times....
Ok, Now I have to say I would not normally have tried this but we were meeting up with friends of my husbands from work yesterday and after all the homeschooling and other stuff lately I have to say I have not had time to keep up on my hair and such. So imagine my horror when I look in the mirror to find my streaks of grey are back. Not just a few but alot and it was hidious . I did not get a chance while back home to get my hair touched up and here I have not found a place yet. Ok, so what to do we had to leave within the half hour, no dye in site.....well not hair dye at least. I was desperate so I tryed my dye inks. Dark brown works wonders on grey, then spritz on some hairspay and instant grey masking and it doesnt come off on your fingers either. It does wash out in a day or so so it is not a long last solution but at least it worked for the day!
Gotta love those crafting supplies!

getting inspired
Ok, Now to start getting back into the swing of things. After playing with the flowersoft for the miniatures I am really hooked on the stuff. My goal today is to work on some ATC's for the craft stamper ATC swap. The craft stamper is one of my new found favorite magizines over here across the pond. I love all the ideas and techniques it shares. Another of my favorites is Scrapbook Inspirations. Hoping to post some creations soon!

Quite awhile....
Well it has been quite awhile since my last posting. Between recent homeschooling of my daughter and getting back into the kick of things there really has been no time. Here are a few pics of my most recent project the Greenhouse. This weekend we payed a visit to our favorite store in York a quaint little dolhouse store. We got some new supplies and here are the finished products. most of the flowers and stuff are handmade from clay and other materials. We did buy a couble thought. My daughter did most of the flowersoft ones as they were her favorite to do. The wok table was a dining buffet I stained , inked and distressed then added the accents. We still have to add the people and some little accessories we are waiting on such as a trowel etc. I will post more pictures when it is complete.

Well being back in the states for a few weeks has been very hectic. There has been family and friends to visit, things to take care of, events to attend and so many other crazy things. There really has been no time for creativity. I cannot wait until next weekend for theSimply cropping Summer Getaway! just over a week to go till I get a full weekend with friends and Scrapbooking ! AAAHHHHH! ?Until then I will just go with the flow. I am looking around for some fun goodies to bring back with me though. We shall see.

In a rut....
Sorry, things have been kind of in a rut the past few days with getting readyto head back home for a bit and stuff. I did manage to get out to a big everything store that had alot of crafting stuff(most I have seen anywhere here so far excepting the Dollhouse store)I picked up a few magazines, a pack of stamps I have been wanting for my ATC's and some feebies as well(who doesn't like freebies.) Not sure what I will do with the freebie stuff probably give it to Belle but who knows. For now I have to get back to sorting and packing to return home for 4 weeks.

Getting there
Yesterday I started work on a couple of planter boxes and flowers. Here is a picture of one of the flower pots. I do not think it is too bad for my first attempt. I was really happy with the flower centers although hard to see I used filiment wire then dipped in brown paint for the tips. Keep in mind this hole piece is maybe just a tad bit bigger than my thumb. Working with the clay was difficult as it started to burn in about 2 minutes. I still need to get used to these ovens. The other problem I was having was with my tools. I seriously need to get a couple good saws for my woodworking. craft knives just do not cut it. I broke 2 more yesterday. Today I think I will take a break from the miniatures and work on some Scrapbooking. That is after I finish cleaning and of course more unpacking!

First steps
Yesterday I stained the wood, cut, glued, painted and completed the greenhouse frame only to realize I had placed one wall backwards. After removing the wall(very carefully) and breaking 2 blades I was complete with step 1 on my plan. I created teh stone wall using a combination of Ranger products and a hand made template. The floor is done with various papers. I am very happy with the outcome. Now to the furniture and accessory making. I will post some pictures of the wall and floor detail later.

Getting started!
Great inspiration....
We had a great time site seeing over in Knaresborough this past weekend. Went to Old mother Shiptons, climbed up to the the castle and down again, ate lunch in a quaint little cafe and did lots more walking. One thing over here is that the flowers are so beautiful and everywhere. I snapped this one on a walking path and am using it for insiration on my next undertaking. I have decided to mingle a bit into the miniature world. I have always loved miniatures and have decided to undertake the task of building a Green house. Wish me luck!

Some new dogs completed.
I finally took the Plunge!
Well this is my first post. I am still trying to figure this all out but it will take some time. The whole move went somewhat aside from getting sick the first week, a few broken things and finding out that furniture delivers take well over a month to arrive. We are in the house but waiting on some furniture. At least we have a bed and kit table and of course my craft room is set up. We are off to site see some today and I am hoping to come back inspired! we shall see.
