Try it on Tuesday

Well bloggers it is time for another challenge over at Try it on Tuesday. The weeks challenge is being sponsored by our friends at One stop card crafts who are offering a £10 voucher for the winner. Now since we are back to the first week of the month this week is a card challenge. It is not just any old card though, as always on Try it on Tuesday there has to be a little twist. This weeks challenge is to create a card inspired by a colour scheme in your home. So here is my inspiration photo. This is my sitting room. It is proably my 2nd most favourite room in the house next to my crafting room. I can often be found in my rocker reading through a good book. This room is so warm and cozy especially when it is sunny. I used the Blues and yellows with a touch of browns for my card.

The background card is cut from Coordinations 2 toned card. Then I cut the next layer from Bazzil and stitched a sheer organza to it fraying the edges just a bit. the next layer is another yellow piece of card and the final blue layer is the Coordinations again run through my Big Shot with an embossing folder. I then sanded the raised bits a little. The image is stamped from one of Belles Fairy stamps she aquired at the most recent visit to The Stamp man. I stamoed and coloured this several times with promarkers then cut and layered various bits for dimension. It is hard to see in the photo but there are about 4 layers to the image. The roses are from Prima and coloured using promarkers. I also cut out little leaves from prima leaves and added a bit of green flowersoft. The wings are glittered using stickles and the lace is from my stash. The pearls are cut from a bit of Prima pearl flourishes and the butterfly is cut out from a cupcake holder.

Now hop on over to the Try it on Tuesday blog for the rest of the design teams inspirations. I cannot wait to see what everyone creates this week. Last weeks frames were Brilliant! Don't forgot you must mention our sponsor in your post to be elidgable for the prize and be sure to include a pic of your inspirational room.

Thank you my dear blogging buddies for all your lovely comments, I really appreciate how many of you have taken the time to leave me a note. They are very much appreciated. Wishing you all a wonderful week. Angela
