Of course this weekend is full of Birthday parties to take Belle to so not much else getting done here till monday. Until then here are my latest 2 projects.

Getting caught up.

Well I am finally getting some time to catch up on my weekly challenges. This layout is actually covering 2 this week.It is for the Totally Papercrafts Weekly challenge "Lots of Spots" and the pages of time Thursday challenge. I could not resist using this photo of my adorable nephew Keegan helping himself to a bowl of pudding. He is just too adorable. For this layout I used Making memories papers, Bazzill, chipboard accent by Lil Davis, American crafts letters and ribbon trims from my stash. I roled some of the papers to create a messy effect along with an uneven wavy cut on the outer circle.

On another not. I am finally finished with my wonderland swap and just getting it ready to mail. I had alot of fun with this one since it was Alice in Wonderland themed. Of course thes pictures are a bit deceiving as they are not to scale with each other and some are just of my creative packaging whilst others are of just the back of something or just a snippit of it. I even had to blank out a little on one so as not to give it away. Sorry these have to be so vague but it is still a surprise you know and you can never tell who is lurking around. Once it has been mailed and received I will post the actual pics. For know I will have to leave you guessing.
Happy Thursday. Angela

What a lovely day!

It definitely is. I got to watch Tim Holtz talk about his new book on QVC at midnight and now throughout the morning I have been watching All the goodies they have for craft day. I even found some goodies I have not seen in the local stores to order. I cannot wait to get them. Whilst I was glued to QVC craft day there was a knock upon the front door and who do you think it could be.........Well the Post man of course with a package for me. It was my order from Art from the heart in Harrogate and let me tell you it was wrapped so nicely I felt like it was my birthday.

If you have never ordered from Art from the heart I would highly recommend it. They are so nice to deal with and they are right on top of things. I have always gone to the store for pickup so this was the first time I had them ship and order and it just made my day! Not to mention what was inside....he he.

My new Tim Holtz book "A Compendium of Curiosities" and the 12 new Distress inks. Ooh La La is this going to be a fun day. I have already stacked my inks neatly on the shelf with the others and peeked at the book. I love the details and directions he gives.
I have also been working quite hard both yesterday and today finishing up my Wonderland swap items. I am very excited about some of these. This is the first swap I have been in since moving to the UK and it has been so much fun so far. My swap partner is wonderful and it has been challenging to come up with themed items you make but I have always been one for a challenge. I will leave with a recipe ingredients list of items for my swap creations pictures will have to come a Little later since it is a surprise!
Ingredients for a wonderland swap...
Glossy accents, Distress crackle, Wire, Beads, Distress Ink, Stamps, Paper, Buttons, Index cards, Glue dots, PVA adhesive, Charms, Ribbons, perfect pearls and a few other items I am sure to have forgotten about. ........Now aren't you curious.....You'll have to wait. Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Tidbits

Well tonight we head back to our new home across the pond. This visit back to NJ was way too short. There were so many people to see and things to do. I did get to visit with some close friends from my Scrapbooking group whilst I was here. We even gotto do a bit of shopping on a road trip and looky what I got!

This fun stuff was from creative Inkling in Peddlars Village PA.

We also stopped at Memory lane in Quakertown PA and what timing! they had just received some new shipments of Primas and other things so I got some really great stuff here. The person at the counter was super nice and helpful. she even entered all the stock in the computer that we wanted to get from the shipment right away. They have a great selection and even a super sale section. this has become another favourite stop.
After a good shopping day the girls and I stopped for lunch (Pizza of course since I have been craving it since we got off the plane. Pizza in England is nothing like East coast pizza) We also stopped at Joannes fabrics where I got some nice prints to bring back to make Belle some clothes and pillows.
Now here I am after saying my goodbyes till August getting ready to head to the airport this afternoon. There were some tears especially with Belle and her friends. We will miss everyone until August rolls around.
On another note I have been working on tidbits for the Wonderland swap I am in and here is a little peek for my swap partner. I know it is not much but of course I cannot give the surprises away now can I! I cannot wait to get back to the house tomorrow and begin finishing my swap projects.

Happy Saturday everyone!

Good Stuff!

Fun new Prima papers, flowers and embellies. Aren't the colors scrumptious!

I needed a new Adhesive since I am down to the last of my kokoyo cartridge refills and they do not make them anymore. I also got some imaginisce papers(so girlie I love them)

Fun Basic grey papers and accessories, fun trims from Websters and even some great Sale stuff.

Well I had a great night with some good friends last night and it did not snow like it was supposed to so that s good! On Saturday on the way to my sisters I went to one of my favourite SB stores here in NJ, Scrappers Cove in Milltown. Milltown was my olde stomping grounds as a child although it has changed quite a bit. I remember the little 5 and Dime candy and ice cream shop, dated a relative of town taxidermist and loved the little dollhouse store they had. Now those things have all changed but Milltown has a great SB store packed full of lots of goodies. Here is a little snippit of what I got. Some of this is for my projects I am working on for the Wonderland Swap I am in but I cannot say what they are since it is a secret. More later...

Ice Art

Well here we are back in New Jersey for the week and it is freezing with lots of snow on the ground. Belle has been in her glory playing out in the snow. In fact she was outside so long we got a bit worried. When we went to look for her we found her creating this beautiful "Icicle Art". My little darling is so creative she just got some food dye and had Poppy take the icicles off the house. Well at least they will not fall on anyone!

A scrapbook Outing....

While we were out and about today DH drove us about an hour south to Sheffield to a new Scrapbook store we have not been too called The Craft Den . It was great although we got there only 30 min before they closed so we did not get to shop too much. The owner Lynne is very nice and let me say I was in paper heaven. I found some wonderful flocked papers and dots and patterns as well as pads If I had more time I definately would be in trouble breaking the bank. There were lots of mini albums, stamps, supplies and plenty of displays for inspiration. A definate must see if you are in the area. I will definately go back.

Totally Papercrafts Blog Challenge #2

Here is my entry for the weekly challenge over at the Totally Papercrafts Blog Challenge #2. This weeks challenge is to use a recipe. the recipe we were to use was 3 Embelishments , 2 papers and 1 image. I used Bobunny papers, prima flowers, and Tim Holtz stamped bird image by Stampers Anonymous. I tore the edges of the pattern papers and then punched the edge of the card with a Fiskars border punch. I also created faux stitching using by cutterbug perferator tool. Enjoy.

I am so excited!!! I Won!

I just saw today on the Scrap Mart Blog that I was chosen as the winner of the Tim Holtz signed Die for my card entry. I cannot beleive it! I have been in such a rut lately that I decided to work on some challenges to kick start some ideas and wow! I Really had fun with this challenge because I did some of my paper peicing that I love to do and I loved the photo they used for inspiration. It felt so vintage. Thank you Scrap Mart DT!

Totally Papercrafts Challenge 1

This is my layout for the Totally papercrafts 1st Challenge theme of friends. I am a bit worried since I decided to do a layout and all I have seen on blogs is cards. I hope I have read the directions correctly. Oh well not to worry at least I have completed something and If I go on completing at least one project a day I will be as happy as a lark. The BG paper was from my stash but I have to say I am not sure who it is from since I cut off the strip. I think it is Fancy Pants designs but don't quote me on it. The flowers are Prima with Basic Grey and CI brad centersThe Stickers are from Junkitz and the pearls from Prima. The ribbons are from my stash as well. The pictures are from a pool Party Belle attended with her friends the week before got ready to leave the states and move to England. the journaling is on tags behind the photos. Enjoy.

Simon Says photo inspiration challenge

This was another challenge I did. The rose photo was the inspiration and it really reminded me of the flowers around the carosel at WDW ao I decided to take it that way. The horseis hand drawn with crystal accents. Papers are basic grey, the flowers are I think Prima, and the Happy birthday stamp is Stamping Up and the vine stamp in the roses is from one of Tim Holtz new stamp sets by Stampers Anonymous. I am not sure about the trims as they are from my stash.

New Card Challenge

Ok, I must be on a roll now 2 posts in one day and time to create...get out! Here is the card I created for the Scrap-mart Blog card challenge. They are giving away a Tim Holtz new On the edge die. The inspiration we had to use for this is shown here too. For my thinking of you card I used papers from Basic grey and LYB. I used a fiskars border edge punch for the lace trim, Prima flowers, crackle glaze and stamps from Close to My Heart.

Ok, Finally a little bit of me time to work on some challenges and crafting. this card is for Basic Grey Challenge Week 12 - theme Animals. I used Basic Grey Eva papers for the card and paper weaving along with Eva Fibers. The stamp is from my new Tim Holtz goodies I picked up at AFTH this past weekend. the bonjour stamp is an unknown stamp.
